I had visions of touring college campuses during the day and working on this post in the evenings. It turns out touring two colleges a day is really tiring in a way that working at my desk is not. I hit 22k steps in NYC yesterday (good prep for Asembia.)
So what would I have written about? The President’s executive order on drug pricing is number 1, 2 and 3. I read it and felt like it was a jumble of contradictions. SAVE INNOVATION (yay!) but keep prices low and compare them to other countries. What I am going to do is do a deep dive on the EO next week, section by section. Not that anyone asked but… you’re here, I’m here, why not. One thing to remember, executive orders are a little like a kid’s letter to Santa. It might happen, it might not. To round out this unusual post, I have to say that I was so impressed with all of the college kids I met this week. Their hope and optimism was a balm.
